The area of the park/garden is seen as a sequence of soft lines, from which the beauty of the local stone stands out. These stones have great significance as it is the same stone that farmers removed from their land in order to cultivate it and now, with great fatigue, have been dug up from the surrounding woods to render homage to man’s work.
As one exits from the apartments, the constant call of nature is evident: the soft curves of the land, characterized by the spaces along the path of stones, thereby discovering the multitude of flora and wildlife.
While walking outdoors one is accompanied by vegetation that defines the various areas of the garden: aromatic plants that, with their perfume and many colors, characterize the space near the house; all amidst the surrounding panorama constituted by the typical and spontaneous vegetation of the “macchia mediterranea” (Lentisco, Ginestra, Viturbo). All this with different varieties of roses underlying the presence of restful spaces.
Idleness in the open air is surrounded by small hills. The arbour and the swimming pool are other meeting places for fun in which the possibility of swimming in fresh waters and sun bathing, surrounded by the smell of rambling roses, create more occasions for rest admiring a part of Tuscany different from that which is commonly known, but strongly tied to the sentiments respecting men’s “lives” in their own land.
